Branding update and website redesign for illustrator Julien Chung in Montreal, Canada.
Julien Chung is an illustrator and designer who licenses his characters for use on products all over the world. He wanted to update his brand and reorient his website to appeal to consumers as opposed to licensing agents. His previous marketing materials contained too many logo variations, type treatments, colors and characters, which ultimately diluted the power of his brand. I redrew his signature logo for an easier read, chose a quirky, geometric typeface to complement his illustration style and tightened his color palette for an instantly identifiable look. The simplified, highly curated brand identity now makes a much bolder statement. I then created a new, responsive website in WordPress with the same look. The bilingual website now showcases finished products with Julien's licensed images and integrates his blog seamlessly. With a revamped About page, Julien's website reflects his playful personality and invites his fans to get to know him and his work.
“Tippi was spot on with her analysis of my case and with her solutions. The branding update she created fits me like a glove. Also she is responsive, organized and affordable for a small business owner like myself.”
