Branding, business cards and website for Hong Kong–based finance writer, editor and consultant Ellen Sheng.
Ellen wanted professional-looking business cards and website to impress U.S. editors as well as Hong Kong business people. She loves graphic patterns, smart typography and bold color so I created a hexagonal, letter-based logo that's suggestive of both a Chinese chop and a faceted jewel. The emerald green color with gold accents subtly reinforces wealth. It also pops beautifully against the geometric, black and white patterns Ellen's drawn to. Her name is set in a serif typeface that's business-like and professional. I carried her new branding over to her elegant website, which highlights her location and areas of expertise. To make her portfolio more appealing, I helped find stock images to illustrate her stories.
“Working with Tippi was an absolute pleasure. She really listened to my needs and concerns and then came up with all these beautiful, creative solutions. She goes above and beyond. My cards and website came out better than I could have imagined and right on schedule. Her enthusiasm is infectious; it was great fun working with her!”
